UltimateCamo is proud to introduce our brand new “HD” camouflage pattern. As successful and effective as our first bark pattern has been since 2006, we wanted to take our bark pattern to the next level. Our patterns are actually built and created using high resolution digital photographs, and getting those images on fabric. No art work, or graphic artist renderings are used whatsoever to build our patterns, it’s all real images, capturing Mother Nature’s own creations, and getting that on fabric.
Having researched deer vision studies for the past decade, primarily done by universities, government agencies, and several private companies, we had a direction for success with the new HD pattern. The key to success with our old pattern, and our new pattern, which are primarily targeting deer and turkey, was utilizing Dichromatic vision as the guideline to build the patterns, and understanding how Dichromatic vision picks up light, images, textures, and colors. For the new HD pattern, we chose to stay with a vertical bark texture as the primary pattern image.
This time we used a white oak bark chip texture for the primary image, since our first pattern was based off of a red oak bark, we wanted to do something just a little different, even though color doesn’t mean much to a deer, as it does to humans. We also threw is some branches, leaves, and some shadows to really give a life like 3D look. We aren’t taking art work and trying to make it appear to be 3 dimensional, we are capturing real 3D situations, and getting that on fabric.
We are excited about the next generation of UltimateCamo and feel it will only make your hunting experience all the better.
